58cm Electric Ceramic Hob, Knob Control, Black – Indesit RI860C
From breakfast to your evening meal, this Indesit Electric Ceramic Hob will have food ready in no time. It has four zones for you to whip up fried eggs, baked beans, sausage and bacon, yum. If you want to get the rashers really crispy, just crank up the heat using the rotary dial controls. Each zone has 6 power levels, so you can switch from simmering to boiling in no time. Don’t worry about spitting oil jumping overboard either, because the smooth glass surface makes mopping up nice and easy.
Tips for measuring up
When measuring for a ceramic hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Very smart and easy to clean. However knobs are all black with just a small “bump” on dial to indicate setting. Would be clearer for older people or if have seeing difficulties, if the “bump” had been white for example. Otherwise excellent product.

Easy to fit and works well. Very good value for money and easy to clean. One thing to remember is if you’re fitting it to a wooden or laminated wood surface, you’ll also need heat resistant sealer to avoid water damage from spillages or cleaning.

The hob is quite slow to heat and the rings seem small. It’s also advertised as having a residual heat indicator but it doesn’t which is disappointing as this was really useful on my old hob and one of the reasons I chose this one.
