Bio-based plastics are made entirely or partially from renewable, biological sources such as crops and plants.     A fine Brita jug, complete with spare cartridge, excellent! My old jug’s lid needed replacing but this new jug was reasonably priced so it was sensible to replace the whole thing. It’s slimmer than my old jug but that’s good, it fits into more places, even the fridge door if necessary!

    Perfect to use. And you must follow the step to make it use better. I use it to soften water. And i think the water after filling is cleaner than before. It is really helpful.

    The water near me is pretty hard and often tastes of chlorine, so a filter is pretty much essential for us. In terms of doing their job, I cannot fault Brita filters – they work really, really well. Also, if you don’t listen to the ludicrous rubbish about replacing them every 4 weeks, you’ll also get far better value out of them. Sure, some people might use them so much that they don’t last long, but in any case, listen to your taste buds and nose buds, not the marketing folk pushing consumables. Back onto this jug, it’s great. Fits in my fridge door nicely, although to be honest I mostly just keep it out near the kettle. Also use water from it in the iron. In time I’ll get a proper inline filter for the tap, but for now this is the method and it works well. Highly recommended.

    Ayeup me duck.Been using these jugs and filters for some time now. Find the better quality ones a lot better made and ease of filling through the levered hatch on top great. Saves removing the whole lid to use. Yep , good value ,gooditem buy.

    Our last Brita Filter Jug, which we’d had for many years and survived two house moves, was dropped onto a hard surface and finally had to be replaced. We opted to spend just a little more on one of the higher range jugs and we’re really pleased. Little features like being able to fill the water chamber without having to remove the lid for example, may seem insignificant but make such a difference for day-to-day use. Overall the quality seems to be of the same high standard, I’d expect this to easily last 5-10 years as the last one did. The water flavour is greatly improved and we simply have no complaints.

The results are excellent, especially in a hard water area – you are drinking pleasant-tasting water, and given the awful revelations as to what water companies are doing, you feel safer, drinking it
